What makes Hikayat Diri different from other habit trackers?

Hikayat Diri is the only habit tracker built around the 5 daily prayers (Fajr to Isha). Instead of arbitrary time slots, your habits are organized by prayer blocks, and the Tadabbur AI connects your patterns to Islamic teachings.

Does Tadabbur AI give religious rulings?

No. Tadabbur AI provides encouragement and connects your behavior patterns to Quran and Hadith references. It never issues fatwa or declares anything halal/haram. For religious rulings, please consult qualified scholars.

Your data is an amanah (trust). We do not sell your data, serve ads, or share your spiritual content with third parties. All data is encrypted and stored securely with Row Level Security.

Welcome to Hikayat Diri ("the App"), an Islamic habit tracker and daily reflection application. By accessing or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

1. Operator

Hikayat Diri is operated by Syed Mohamad Arif Bin Sayed Mohd Ali Saipuddin ("we", "us", or "our"). For questions about these Terms, contact us at hikayatdaily.app@gmail.com.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use Hikayat Diri. If you are under 18, you represent that your parent or legal guardian has reviewed and agreed to these Terms on your behalf.

3. Services Provided

Hikayat Diri provides the following services:

Habit Tracking: Create and track daily habits structured around the 5 daily prayers (Fajr, Duha, Zuhr, Asr, Maghrib, Isha).
Daily Niyyah (Intention): Set a personal intention for each day.
Weekly Muhasabah (Reflection): Answer weekly reflection questions for self-improvement.
Hikayat Score: A composite daily score based on habits, niyyah, and muhasabah.
Prayer Times: JAKIM-sourced prayer times for Malaysia via waktusolat.app API.
Qiblah Compass: Real-time compass pointing toward Mecca.
Quran Reader: Access to all 114 surahs with Arabic text and English translation.
Dhikr Counter: Digital tasbih and adhkar collections.
Tadabbur AI Insights (Premium): AI-powered personalized Islamic insights connecting your behavior patterns to Islamic teachings.
Reports & Analytics (Premium): Detailed habit progress analytics.

4. User Accounts

To access the full features of Hikayat Diri, you must create an account. During registration, you may be asked to provide:

Display name

You may also sign in using Google OAuth. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activities that occur under your account.

5. User Content

You retain ownership of all content you create within the App, including habits, niyyah entries, muhasabah reflections, and dhikr data. By using the App, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to process and store your content solely for the purpose of providing the services described herein.

We do not share, sell, or use your personal spiritual data for advertising or marketing purposes.

6. AI-Generated Content

The Tadabbur AI feature provides personalized insights based on your habit patterns. These insights are generated by artificial intelligence and are intended for encouragement and reflection purposes only.

Important: Tadabbur AI does not issue religious rulings (fatwa). It does not declare anything as halal or haram. For religious rulings, please consult qualified scholars.

7. Subscriptions and Payments

Hikayat Diri offers a free tier and a premium tier:

Free Tier: Includes 3 habit slots, daily niyyah, weekly muhasabah, prayer times, Qiblah compass, Quran reader, basic dhikr counter, and streak tracking.
Pro Monthly: RM 12/month
Pro Annual: RM 89/year (approximately RM 7.40/month)

Subscriptions are managed through RevenueCat and processed via the Apple App Store (iOS) or Google Play Store (Android). Payment terms, renewal, and cancellation policies are governed by the respective platform's terms.

A 7-day free trial of Pro features may be offered during onboarding. If you do not cancel before the trial ends, you will be charged the applicable subscription fee.

8. Free Tier Commitment

We commit to keeping the core spiritual features of Hikayat Diri free forever. This includes habit tracking (3 slots), daily niyyah, weekly muhasabah, prayer times, Qiblah compass, Quran reader, and basic dhikr counter.

9. Third-Party Services

Hikayat Diri integrates with the following third-party services:

Supabase: Authentication and database services
Firebase: Analytics, crash reporting, and remote configuration
RevenueCat: Subscription management
Google Sign-In: OAuth authentication
waktusolat.app: JAKIM prayer times API

Each of these services is governed by their own terms and privacy policies.

10. Prohibited Activities

You agree not to:

Use the App for any illegal purpose
Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the App's systems or other users' accounts
Use automated tools, bots, or scrapers to access the App
Impersonate any person or entity
Interfere with or disrupt the App's services or servers
Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App

11. Intellectual Property

The Hikayat Diri name, logo, design, and all related content (excluding user-generated content) are the intellectual property of the operator. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without prior written consent.

12. Disclaimer of Warranties

Hikayat Diri is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied.

We do not guarantee the accuracy of prayer times (sourced from JAKIM/waktusolat.app), Qiblah direction calculations, or AI-generated insights. These tools are provided as aids and should be verified independently when precision is critical.

13. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount paid by you to us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

14. Account Termination

You may delete your account at any time through the App's settings. Upon deletion, all your data will be permanently removed from our systems.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, with reasonable notice where possible.

15. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via the App or email. Continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

16. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Malaysia.

17. Dispute Resolution

In the event of a dispute, both parties agree to first attempt good faith negotiations. If unresolved, disputes shall be submitted to binding arbitration in Malaysia.
